Dr Simone Keddy

Osteopath: Practice Principal

Simone is considered one of Australia’s most experienced Osteopaths in the field of obstetrics having undertaken extensive courses and training since completing her undergraduate degrees at RMIT in 1996.

Simone is a co-founder of the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute of Australia, writing and teaching in the field of pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum.

Simone loves seeing women (and patients) during their pregnancy,  providing treatment to support the body to adapt to the physical changes of pregnancy and address any pain or discomfort that may be experienced.  She is a strong believer that the way we birth can have long term implications for mother, baby and humanity.  As such she is passionate about improving the birth culture and outcomes in Australia.  She has a thorough understanding of pregnancy and birth and is able to provide education and advice on active birthing, pain education and reducing the risk of perineal tearing during her treatments.

Simone is also passionate about enhancing pelvic health care understanding and access for all. Simone can provide both internal and external pelvic health assessments, addressing issues including incontinence, prolapse, dyspareunia (painful intercourse), endometriosis and dysmenorrhea (painful periods)

Whether you are pregnant, have pelvic health issues, or just a sore back, Simone takes a holistic view, seeking to understand what factors are contributing to your symptoms, and tailoring a treatment program specifically for you.  She uses a range of techniques allowing her to adjust her treatment style to what is most appropriate for you.  Exercise and lifestyle advice are also incorporated into her treatments.
