Osteopathy for Extremity Pain
Pain in the extremities includes any of the following areas:
- Arms
- Elbows
- Wrists
- Hands
- Legs
- Knees
- Ankles
- Feet
Pain in the extremities can have many causes. Pain could be due to an injury such as a sprain during sport or at work, overuse or poor footwear, repetitive movements, such as tennis elbow or golf elbow or altered muscle mechanics which is common in knee pain.
Your Osteopath will assess the cause of your pain and if suitable for Osteopathic treatment, will work to address the cause of the problem to relive pain and restore your mobility.
Often pain in the extremities can have a flow on effect to other parts of the body as you modify your movements to avoid the pain.
Your Osteopath can assist in treating all areas of your pain not just the point that it started in.
Massage may assist in relieving muscular tensions associated with extremity pain and Pilates help in addressing muscular strengths and weaknesses. Click here to learn more about our one on one Pilates classes.
